Steam Boiler Replacement Contractor
In the heart of the North East, steam systems are everywhere. If you have a steam system in your home, you are the proud owner of the a simple but very effective heating system. Although it doesn’t take much experience or skill to make water boil, piping a steam boiler is indeed learned skill. If your radiators aren’t getting warm, don’t blame the air vents so quickly- you may have an improperly installed boiler.
We take the time to measure each radiator in your Massachusetts home, and even ask about future plans for additional heating. If a heating installer simply looks at the size of the old boiler to save some time (it does take a bit of time to measure each radiator), you may very well get an oversized boiler. Too large will make for a noisy and inefficient system. Too small will simply not heat the house and also cost more in fuel.
Always make sure the replacement boiler is installed with steel pipe and cast iron fittings. If you see any copper on the steam piping, the installer took a short cut. All steam pipes should be insulated for maximum efficiency. Existing asbestos must be disposed of by a licensed contractor.
